Eagle Project Proposal To Troop 611 Parent Committee

Your Eagle Project proposal should be reviewed and approved by the Troop 611 Scoutmaster and the representative of organization your project will benefit before you come to the Parent Committee.

The proposal should be typed. If this is a construction project you are expected to include dimensioned, to scale drawings. You should have copies of your project proposal to hand out to the Parent Committee.

Please check for proper grammar and spelling. The written proposal represents your workmanship.

You will verbally present your project to the Troop 611 Parent Committee. Your parents are encouraged to come with you.

Eagle Project Proposals should answer:

  • Who will benefit from the project?
  • How will they benefit?
  • What official from the group benefiting from the project will be contacted for guidance in planning the project?
  • How many people will be recruited to help carry out the project? How adult hours are needed?
  • Describe project time line.
  • Include project financial estimate.

Describe safety precautions that will be observed.

Once you have presented your project proposal, you and your parents will be asked to leave the room while the Parent Committee reviews the proposal.

You will be called back into the room to be informed of the Parent Committee�s decision.

There are 40 families in the troop (2007-2008). Typical meeting attendance is 35 parents.
