Day Five
First Day in Inada		 Transom Panel
Tonight we arrived at Daikakuji. We will spend our first night in Ibaraki, a prefecture north of Tokyo, at this temple. Outside, only the sounds of crickets and an occasional car. The darkest is complete.

Traveling by car from our train stop at Tsuchiura was confusing. Roads were blocked by heavy traffic. A side road led us through the countryside. Occasional stops for directions and a specialty molasses arare eventually brought us to the temple.
