Sr. YBA Ski Trip
Brian Tamekuni has graciously volunteered his cabin on North shore of Tahoe near Boreal and Sugar Bowl. We will be going up on December 18th and returning on December 20. All interested should email Kimi at [email protected]

Holiday Dinner and Gift Exchange
We will be meeting at church at 6:00pm. To make reservations for the dinner please RSVP by DECEMBER 18th. Names for the gift exchange can be randomly assigned after all RSVPs are in and then we'll have at least the weekend to shop. How about a limit of $15 for gifts. This should be a light-hearted and fun event, even better that dinners FREE! The actual restaurant is still to be determined. Let Kimi know where you want to dine.

The Tech Trip
Interest was voiced to go here this break. I just picked a random date. We can meet at church and carpool over to avoid parking hassles. They are actually having extended hours this particular evening and expect one of their biggest crowds. It's $8 admission for the exhibits OR the IMAX show or you can purchase BOTH for $13.50. If this date is bad and people are still with family, we can change the date! Let Kimi if you are interested.

New Years Information
We need several volunteers to help with the provision of refreshments. Sr. YBA is supposed to provide pastries and juice after New Years Day service. If you plan on attending or would like to help please call or email Kimi .

Message Board
There is now a message board linked to the Sr. YBA webpage. As Roy says: "The purpose of this message board is simple. To share ideas about Buddhism. Hopefully we can provide interesting and compelling topics that can spark equally interesting and compelling conversations. Feel free to to post responses to the weekly topics, and meet new people at the same time! As interest grows, it is quite possible that we can begin including games, contests, and events as well. As always, your input is ALWAYS welcome, and we hope you visit this message board frequently to check out what everyone has to say. Keep in mind that all topics should somewhat relate to Buddhism. However topics need not be serious nor or original. We just want to hear what YOU have to say! Thanks again for checking out our message board. Hope to hear a little(or a lot) from each of you!"

The Sr. YBA's fundraiser, Jack of Spades was September 5, and it was a huge success. The event was be much larger than last year's and was an experience for all to remember. Games for the night included Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, and Let it Ride. The fun began at 6pm, and the Grand Prize Raffle took place at midnight.
