Dharma SchoolDharma School Service This service is oriented toward the children and their parents. Incense offering, chanting, singing, and a brief sermon (Dharma talk) are part of the service. The children are then dismissed to Dharma School. Classes Religious Education is offered for pre-school and school-aged children from the ages of 3 through 18. Classes are generally divided by grade level, except for Pre-School and High School. Teachers are generally lay members of the Sangha who volunteer their time. Classes are held in pre-assigned class rooms immediately following the Dharma School Service. The Dharma School classes participate in several of the special services conducted throughout the year. The children are thus introduced to and taught about Buddhism through sermon, lecture, crafts, music, and activities.
